The utilization of new and renewable energy sources explicitly based on biomass needs to be increased reduce dependence fossil fuels. One the potential biomasses plantation waste in Indonesia that can utilized is oil palm form fronds trunks are converted with multi-stage downdraft gasification technology. This study aimed conduct a technical analysis, economic investment risk social an environmental impact assessment power plants fueled by waste. method used was upscaling prototype 10 kW plant 100 kW. results showed it technically economically feasible apply. indicators were positive NPV USD 48.846 IRR 9.72% B/C ratio 1.16. analysis predicted probability 49.94% above base case. aspects suggested construction has community income growth sectors utilize electricity as primary source. An effects critical so impacts minimized. Overall, small-scale plantations worth considering long carried out following applicable regulations.
